Since his hit sitcom’s Zeke & Luther premiere last spring on Disney XD, Adam Hicks has become one of the hottest, breakout teen actors.  The anticipated new series which premiered in June 2009 has received rave reviews and has become an international hit throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.  Adam stars in the title role as trickster ‘Luther’ opposite Hutch Dano (‘Zeke’) as they set out to conquer their dreams of becoming the best pro skateboarders in the world

Adam broke into the business as the star of a national commercial for The Best of Andy Griffith playing ‘Opie.’  However, it was Adam’s role in the hit film, How to Eat Fried Worms, which caught the industry’s eyes. First released in 2006, the highly acclaimed film based on the beloved children’s book by Thomas Rockwell, tells the story of a new kid in school, a bully, and a bet made to swallow ten worms in one day.  Adam played ‘Joe Guire,’ the schoolyard tormentor whose nefarious wager sets off a chain of events that alters the power balance.  Playing a villain may be the ultimate challenge for a 13-year old actor, but Hicks handled the task with intensity and noticeable skill.

Previously, Hicks starred in the leading role of Brady Davis in the feature film, Down and Derby. Other credits include: Universal’s adaptation of the R.L. Stine bestseller, Mostly Ghostly, the big screen remake of Disney’s The Shaggy Dog oppositeTim Allen and The 12 Dogs of Christmas.

Beginning at age 5, Hicks was a series regular playing young Dave on the critically-lauded hit sitcom Titus, which ran for three seasons on FOX.  He was also a series regular on the Frank Oz-directed TV show, The Funkhousers, co-starred on ABC’s That Was Then and was The Discovery Kid 2000 on the Discovery Channel.  In addition to numerous commercial credits, Adam has participated in several stage productions, including playing the title role in Tom Sawyer.

Adam also has a true passion and gift for music. He writes and performs old-school hip hop including one of the most popular current downloads, a remake of MC Hammer’s Can’t Touch This.  Hollywood Records has signed him to a multi-record deal and will be sending him on tour later this year.  Adam’s musical inspiration comes from a variety of sources; he is a huge fan of the Rolling Stones and David Bowie

Splitting his time between his hometown of Las Vegas and the set of his new show, Adam manages to find time to earn solid grades in high school, play the drums, skateboard and snowboard.  He has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and has twice been a National Champion. While Adam loves starring in a hit primetime sitcom and segue to movies during hiatus, he has a true fascination with Biology, Civics and English and plans on attending college.
